Later tonight will see the flamboyant Miron Bleiburg take his Gold Coast squad to face the reigning champions Brisbane Roar in the Queensland Derby.
So far this season, the hosts have disposed of Central Coast 1-0 and Sydney 2-0. Central Coast sought to sit deep, keep space tight between the lines and hit the Roar on the counter-attack, while the Sky Blues used an aggressive high press. The Roar were able to play through Central Coast's formation by overlapping on the flanks, while also physically outlasting the men from the Harbour City.
The visitors meanwhile laboured to a 1-1 draw with Wellington at home, and a 1-1 draw to Central Coast on the road.
Judging purely from recent results then, the Roar are the clear favourites. Bleiburg and Postecoglou have named unchaged sides, so don't expect any surprise selections.
